Speedwatch Volunteers Needed

The Nettlestead Speedwatch group is in need of a few more volunteers to help with speed monitoring sessions in the coming months.

Why Join Nettlestead CSW?

· Make an Impact: Your efforts directly contribute to safer streets. By monitoring vehicle speeds, you help raise awareness and encourage responsible driving.

· Flexible Commitment: We understand that everyone has busy lives. If you can commit to as little as one session per month that would really support us and if you can spare more time, that’s fantastic!

What Does a Session Involve?

· Each session lasts approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, including setup.

· You’ll use our equipment to monitor vehicle speeds at designated locations.

Ideally 3 people per each session but sessions can be conducted with just 2 volunteers.

Full training will be provided.

Please contact Emma Nelson [email protected] if you would like to volunteer for this important work to help keep our village roads safe.

Important Notice

Parish.UK Network Website

It has come to the attention of Parish Clerks in the country that a website has been set up by Parish.UK Network, which implies it is working in conjunction with Parish Councils.  The information on the website is inaccurate and is not linked in anyway to Local Government offices.  It has been reported that, in some areas, the site requests donations and residents have sent money, thinking it was going to their local Parish Council.  This is not the case and we would ask that the site is not accessed (and no donations made) to protect residents in the village.

Parish.UK Network is a fraudulent website, which is being investigated by the National Trading Standards E-Crime Team.

This website is the only one used by the Parish Council and all information is kept as up to date as possible.  If you have any concerns, then please contact the Parish Clerk on [email protected]
